The Local Government Act 2020 created new requirements for Victorian Local Government when conducting strategic planning. An essential component of this was the adoption of deliberative engagement practices.
Loddon Shire Council engaged Projectura in June 2020 to prepare their Community Engagement Policy, 10-year Community Vision, and 4-year Council Plan.
Following a review of the existing Council Plan and Community Engagement Policy, Projectura conducted three stages of internal and external engagement with participation from over 250
people in the Loddon community.
Informed by the engagement, Projectura worked with the Community Reference Group to shape a Community Engagement Policy, Community Vision and Council Plan that met the current and future needs of the community. The documents were adopted at the September 2021 Council meeting.
