Childcare Feasibility Study

The availability of childcare in Loddon Shire has been identified as a primary concern for the community, and Council recognised that the current funding and regulatory frameworks presented barriers to the establishment of childcare in the Shire.
Loddon Shire Council engaged Projectura to conduct a Childcare Feasibility Study to seek innovative, long term and sustainable solutions for their community. The Feasibility Study consisted of a discussion paper, a business case and an advocacy strategy.
Projectura examined the social and economic vulnerabilities of the early years population and their families, the need for childcare services across the Council area, and identified potential service delivery models within and outside of known regulatory parameters and funding constraints.
The Business Case and Advocacy Strategy was endorsed by Council in September 2020.
